{MARFA/VIA EL PASO:DAYS 1-3}

2ETN HEADS SOUTH. CHRIS BROWN SAYS IT BEST:

 El Cosmico; native grasses, free-spirit and laid-back vibe.

Western grunge , American workwear & desert hippie - the “style” we hope to capture as Refueled magazine heads out West,along with just about everyone we know for the El Cosmico Trans-Pecos Festival of Music & Love in Marfa, Texas September 24 - 25. The 2010 Fall/Winter issue will draw it’s vibe from this return trip to the West, Texas desert. As mentioned earlier, along with shooting the cover feature and a {Automatic Buzz} session with Heartless Bastards, we have gathered a few key folks in the fashion arena to contribute their talents to the style feature for the issue. Look us up, and share your style.

{ DailyCandy San Francisco }

SAN FRANCISCO July 3, 2009Heavenly CreaturesPamela Tuohy Jewelry Collection

You couldn’t really wrap your brain around The Da Vinci Code. (They lost you at the self-torturing albino dude.)
But you’ll unlock the mysteries of angels and demons any day with Pamela Tuohy-Novinsky’s jewelry collection.
The designer (with the help of her artist husband) makes the enchanting baubles in her Sacramento home studio using fantasy and mourning to tell collective stories in each piece.
After selecting nostalgic imagery (animals, insects, the macabre) for her rings, cuffs, earrings, brooches, and necklaces, she then encases the art in a Victorian filigree frame. Some feature faceted glass, rosary fragments, and precious stones mixed with oxidized sterling and gold vermeil.
Limited-edition numbers ($64+) and one-of-a-kinds ($1,000+) are equally alluring, making it hard to tell the difference.
Like the line between fact and fiction.
Available at Circle & Square, 344 Presidio Avenue, at Sacramento Street (415-409-3440 or circleandsquaresf.com). To see styles, go to pamelatuohyjewelry.com.
